The Town Team, in existence for many years, was originally set up by Val Pothecary. It now has a new focus on the regeneration of the Town Centre, with due regard for heritage assets. Projects currently underway include:-
Attracting new investors to create a transport hub at the station.
Redeveloping the southern part of Station Road for a mixed use.
Attracting new leisure facilities – a cinema, casual dining and a hotel are some examples.
Below we show a schematic developed without obligation or cost to us, by Wyatt Homes, as indicative of the type of development which could emerge from the approved Plan. The ‘below’ is Not a Planning application, but just for stimulating positive ideas.
